1999 graduate of Marlboro College's Master of Arts program specializing in teaching with internet technologies. Our work covered:

Experience

Presently: Systems administer for Fall Mountain Regional School District. Care and feeding of a LAN, assist teachers in software and periferals selections, troubleshooting, staff development, developed and update system web pages.

Since 1994, actively using computers and the internet to enhance student interest and performance. They include:

  • Calls for collaboration in all areas of study/Webquests
  • Keypals/E-groups
  • Research using a mix of online and traditional resources

Participated in three Net Days. Activities include running wire, punching down, installing hardware including cards, RAM, drives; installing and configuring network software, troubleshooting. Technology applications: FileMaker, Acrobat.

Workshops offered on a continuous basis cover the following topics:

  • Incorporating the Internet into existing programs
  • Netscape/Internet Explorer basics
  • Using bookmarks to aid student research
  • E-mail groups as part of the curriculum
  • Inspiration, KidPix

Our most popular workshops continue to be open labs. Teachers bring individual projects they wish to develop incorporating internet components.
